What can be shredded?
We can shred any paper documents - personal or confidential and plastic materials. We can also shred most media equipment (hard drives, computers, laptops, mobile phones etc.). If you have anymore questions about what can be shredded you can give our office a call on 01592 657565.
Why does our paper need shredded?
If you are a business, it's important that you shred all your confidential documents rather than putting them in a general waste bin. This helps your business comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Do I need to remove certain things from our documents?
We do ask that you take any paper out of poly wallets as it then makes our load mixed and we like to keep it separate for recycling purposes.
Where does the waste go after it has been shredded?
All of our shredded material goes to the local paper mill which is then recycled and reused into various paper products in Fife and beyond.
What is the process?
The general process is as follows:
1. Contact us to get a quote
2. Book in for a time and place suitable to you
3. Our drivers collect your waste and bring it back to our recycling facilities
4. Your waste is shredded and then sent to a local paper mill
5. The shredded waste is recycled into various paper products in Fife and beyond

What is the cost?
The cost is totally dependent on what you need uplifted. You can call us at the office for a quote or email admin@secureshredscotland.co.uk for help with costs. We do try and give the best quote possible and will often offer discounts for a large load.

Which payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept BACs payment (You will find bank details on the bottom of your invoice/at the bottom of this page) or cheque.
When will I receive a certificate of destruction?
You will receive a certificate of destruction once your waste has been shredded.
Can I be set up for collections to happen on a re-occurring basis?
Yes, we can set you up on a regular basis so you don't have to phone up every time you have waste ready.
